FIDE Master Paul Truong is a former chess prodigy and was champion of Vietnam before fleeing his country in a small boat and eventually reaching America. After many years as a successful businessman, his passion has turned to popularising chess and helping children in the US to progress in the game. He is captain and business manager of the 2004 US Women’s Olympiad Team.
